In Other News...

Let’s Go Ravens!

Since my beloved Giants are out I've jumped on the Raven's ban wagon.

 



Using a 100's chart!

Pairs of students worked together using the 100's chart.  One student covered up 5 numbers on the hundreds chart with pennies and their partner had to figure out the missing numbers.

January News Letter

January News Letter
Reminders
-Hats, gloves, coats and jackets are necessary for recess.
-Students should not bring in toys and electronics to school.  We do not want to see anything get lost.
-Tissues and wipes are always accepted especially during cold season.

Upcoming Days/Days Off
DIBELS TESTING-January 16th
NO SCHOOL-Monday January 21st (MLK Day)
NO SCHOOL FOR STUDENTS-Monday January 28th
A Peak At Our Weeks
Reading: We continue working on whole group instruction as well as small group reading.  I’ve seen tremendous growth in the student's writing!
Math: Unit 3 test will fall on Friday January 11th.  Students will be tested on addition and subtraction skills as well as previously learned skills. Unit 4 will start mid January.
Health/S.S./Science:  The first grade teachers have finished their first round of switching classrooms.  Starting next week we will switch again.
