We went outside to watch the fourth grade
launch their rockets.The first
grade students were amazed and excited. They loved seeing the rockets shoot into the sky. They also cheered on the other students.
Students learned about the life cycle of a
butterfly by identifying facts from their scholastic news and watching a short
video clip. After they made their own
diagram to show the steps a tadpole takes to become a frog.
We attended a fun and interactive assembly about the importance of reading. The students had a blast and could not stop laughing. The performer was humorous and entertaining but still taught everyone a great lesson. READING CAN BE FUN!
Students were told
they were going to write a story about a time they lost something.First, they used a graphic organizer to map
out their stories. Then, they wrote out
their rough draft and went over their mistakes.Last, they finished their final copy and drew a self portrait.Everyone worked extremely hard on their
papers.I was very impressed by their quality
of writing.
