My favorite book to read this time of year is The Polar Express. Students were given a ticket and earned their way onto our classroom "train"(unfortunately, I forgot to take pictures). Their tickets were punched and it was time to read the story. Everyone enjoyed listening to the story and getting their own bell. Afterwards, students wrote their wish for the first gift of Christmas while sipping on hot cocoa.
