Coats, gloves and hats everyday please, we go outside for recess.

Phonics:

We continue to work on digraphs and blends.  We will be spending more time on nouns, adjectives, and verbs.  Students will continue to work on punctuation marks and capitalizing sentences. 

Reading:

Students are progressing on their reading comprehension and fluency.  Students are refining their skills in identifying beginning, middle and end, main idea and details, and story elements.  Unit 2 was spent dissecting non-fiction texts.  Students are becoming experts at identifying non-fiction text features.

Math:

My mathematicians are working on their addition, subtraction and number sense skills.  We are moving onto unit 4 which consists of measuring and counting numbers!
