Phonics

Students have been mastering long vowels and diagraphs.  Keep practicing those spelling words!

Reading

My readers are working hard on Unit 3: Change!  We have reading non-fiction stories as well as folktales.  We are focusing on main idea and details as well as story elements and sequencing.  Keep working on reading fluency at home.

Math

After finishing our unit 4 test on data and survey questions my mathematicians are working on measurement, fractions and time.  Unit 5 will give students lots of opportunities to work collaboratively with each other.
